<p>A collage of MetroCards raises the curtain on the layered, cut-out animation of N Train, which captures the frenetic beat of city life with its snapshot of a young commuter trying to connect.</p>
<p>In Secret Men’s Club Moment #133, a simple office exchange becomes a highly dramatized metaphor for exclusionary male culture, offering a sardonic critique for this ubiquitous but often invisible brotherhood.</p>
<p>Rhys Ernst has written and directed films about gender, cats, and dysfunctional couples (among other things). He has screened work at Sundance, Oberhausen, Ann Arbor Film Festival, The Hammer Museum and REDCAT. He lives in Los Angeles.</p>

<p>Carolyn Castaño is a Los Angeles-based artist whose work explores the role of women in the United States and Latin America. She is a 2011 California Community Foundation Getty Fellow and recipient of the prestigious C.O.L.A Individual Artist Fellowship 2011.</p>
